Project Getaway was borne from my two of my passions: travel and writing. My first few experiences of international travel showed me that this world is just too beautiful to miss out on, and with the short and borrowed time that I have on this planet, nothing is more worthwhile than grabbing all the possible opportunities to experience it.
Writing, on the other hand, is something that I both struggle with and enjoy at the same time. I have only recently embraced this gift, and through this project, I hope to create things that touch, move, disturb souls. The best writing is all about the truth – from the most mundane to profound experiences.
It has always been my dream to take that life-changing trip around the world. A few weeks ago, I have decided to take concrete steps into making that trip happen by March 2010. Project Getaway will be my way of sharing my journey to the journey.
